Balinese Gamelan Gong Kebyar is a Balinese orchestra consists of gongs, metallophones, kettles and other instruments such as bamboo flutes and fiddles. Here, you can find the world's first iPhone implementation of the main instruments of a Balinese Gamelan Gong Kebyar. The sound banks are sampled from real instruments and specially edited and mixed for fast loading and low-latency high-quality sound reproduction. Each app in general corresponds to the instruments a player plays in the ensemble, except for the Reyong and Trompong, which are played by multiple players. For metallphone instruments such as Giying, Jegog, Jublag, Kantil, Pemade, and Penyacah, each app gives the sounds of a pair of differently-tuned instruments in the ensemble played together.
